I was absolutely fine one moment laying in bed and watching tv with my husband and the next second I felt an intense pain pierce my heart.
Shockingly, it wasn’t that an actual bullet came flying into my room. But my loving husband fired some careless words at me in a moment that he wasn’t really even thinking, but it HURT BAD. It pierced me like a sword or dagger or bullet.
He didn’t even mean to do it! And you wouldn’t think it would hurt like THAT. After all, it was just words.
A huge lie
Whoever said that sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me absolutely told the biggest fattest lie I have ever heard!
We all know that it’s a lie but it doesn’t stop us from walking around carelessly throwing around our words that can be like throwing swords, daggers and bullets right into crowds of people as if it didn’t matter.
The crazy thing is that when people do it right back to us, we act shocked!
Are you a verbal terrorist?
We live in a time when crazy acts of terrorism happen that are beyond belief. It would be ashame to be considered one of the terrorists.
We have to be more careful that we do not walk around with the excuse of moods and attitudes and become verbal terrorists attacking people with our words, whether intended or just carelessly.
If we can truly grasp how important our words are, we can start speaking life, encouragement and hope to people. We can become people builders instead of people deflaters.
We don’t want to be the people that think it’s fabulous when somebody gets torn down or criticized on the cover of magazines. What if the person on the cover was you?
Words are so much more powerful than we know
There’s a phenomenon in the universe called quark. When words are released out of our mouth, or even on a television broadcast or radio station, they continue to travel on through the Earth’s atmosphere into outer space. Scientists can listen to broadcasts that happened on the earth DECADES before.
The words that come out of our mouth never fall to the ground, die or go away. They actually live on through all time and space constantly traveling out into our future, the universe and space.

I’m going to do my best to encourage you to have your best life now Friday night at I Am Woman event ‘The Voice’! There’s also fantastic music and we’re all going to have fun on different karaoke stages off throughout the building grabbing as many girls as we can and getting onstage together to sing and have a blast.

The really cool thing is for every girl we get on stage, Faith Church is donating $1 to this She-Rescue home in Cambodia that’s rescuing girls under 18 from sex trafficking.
