Sometimes, we think just because we get things right ONE time in a row that everything should fall into place.
And even WORSE, we get a little cocky in our Christianity.
Like “Hey world, I read my bible every day for a whole WEEK! Why hasn’t someone asked me to lead a church, or pastor or something?”
Keep On!
The real blessing comes when we don’t quit; when we CONTINUE steadfastly.
• If you haven’t read your bible in a week…pick it back up.
• If you don’t know where your bible is…go find it.
• If you prayed and your answer hasn’t come yet…don’t stop!
• If you just did the most STUPID thing you have ever done and you don’t know what to do…go to God.
When We Continue Steadfastly…
“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5 (NIV)
What wouldn’t change before NOW has no choice but to begin the change.
Maybe Nike said it best when they put “Just Do It” beneath the swoosh.
I’d like to add…AND DON’T STOP!
There’s A Promise To Receive Right Around The Corner!
“Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:41-42 (NKJV)
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank you that You continue steadfastly to watch over us and bless us. Help us to be diligent followers of You always. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
Love the Nike motto…Just Do it! We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us if we just to commit to do it and trust in him.
Thank you for the “DON’T STOP” reminder.
I know you travel a lot, can you make a video sinscawhog what you do for food on the road? Do you make food at home and bring it with you, do you cook in the hotel, or do you eat out and hope that it is done without salt and butter etc.. I expecially wonder this when you travel to compete. Thanks!
The road makes it hard. If there is a Whole Foods in the town it makes it easier!
