are you influenced by? If you don’t have the right mindset people will take advantage of you. Because you’re not selfish, you won’t be honest that others are pouring negativity into your head.
Everyone is influenced by someone:
- A spouse
- A friend
- Parents (whether they were present while you grew up or not)
- A boss
- A client
- Coworkers
God says, “You will have no other gods before me.” God is saying what about me? You’re so worried about THEM that you’re not thinking about ME!
Out of the heart the mouth speaks. Luke 6:45
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7
Be careful of surrounding yourself with those who speak negatively into your life. They try to manipulate you or control you and then squash you when you do one thing they don’t like. It doesn’t matter how much you do for them that is great, they only see the bad. They might even give you a teaser of affirmation every once in a while, just to keep you hanging on.
With God, there is no guessing. You can say, He loves me, he loves me, he loves me, he loves me…
Let GO of what has held you back.
Let go of that person, job, situation, friend or relationship that didn’t work.
Let GO of that thing that you want from someone else that you can only get from God.
Seek the One who does approve of you and who wants only good for you.
