We all have family trouble going in that we don’t want others to know about. What we fail to realize is that we aren’t alone in feeling this way. Most people have family story that could headline on the Jerry Springer Show. Jesus knows all about it. Most of all Jesus knows that when family drama crops up, we’re close to a new breakthrough.
Jesus Had Family Drama
In Luke 8, people were clamoring to see Jesus, he was surrounded by crowds. His mother and brothers came to see him but couldn’t get to him. They sent a message to Jesus that they were outside and wanted to see him. Basically, they wanted him to stop doing what God had called him to do and to come see them. The question is, if the message could get to him, why couldn’t they?
Why Does Family Drama Happen?
When we are headed towards the promises of God and new territory, the enemy uses those closest to us. The enemy uses the ones we love the most to hurt us because we are the most influenced by them. He uses them to try to stop us.
When We See Trouble, We Think Something Is Wrong With Us
We need to find like-minded people to spend time with that will allow us to be comfortable enough to take off our mask. The right kind of people will look at your life and the amazing things God is doing and KNOW that you had family drama. They will know that the enemy attacks us through our families when he knows God has big plans for us.
I Decree And Declare That The Breakthrough Is Coming!
Lord, you know that we all have family drama. Help us to understand that it is not about us, but it’s about the enemy who is trying to get us off track. In the precious name of Jesus, I claim bold victory today over all family drama. We stand firm on your promises and press through the drama to the breakthrough on the other side! Amen!
