Does it seem like it’s been toooooooo long since something good has happened? Or more specifically, since that ‘one thing’ you have been waiting for, it seems like FOREVER?!?!

Don’t get weary in well doing! Translated: HOLD ON!!!!

You see, sometimes God needs our heart to catch up with our head.

Say What?

Sometimes we want the right things and God is ready to send them our way, but if we get them right now, we might do the wrong things with them and miss the BIGGER blessing He has planned.

Like with Hannah.

She was barren and wanted a baby INCREDIBLY bad. She had waited 19 years. How many of us have not been waiting 19 years???? And if your 29, don’t raise your hand like you’ve been waiting for a man that long. Starting to believe God for a husband at 10 doesn’t count (laughing tear emoji would go soooo good here!)

I took 19 LONG years for Hannah to promise God that if He gave her a baby, she would give the baby back to Him. That’s all He needed to move.

You see, I think if He would have given Hannah a child in year 3, or 7, or even 12. Hannah would have been thrilled and kept the baby. And Samuel the prophet would have missed his destiny and the selector of Saul, the developer of King David and one who helped form Israel as a nation.

And Hannah would have missed her destiny as a mother of 6. It’s entirely possible that if Hannah would not have sowed Samuel back to God, that he could have been an only child that stayed home with mom.

Instead, Hannah sowed Samuel. God raised him up. And God blessed Hannah with a house full of FIVE more children!

So…maybe you and I need to ask God: “God, you know that blessing, child, job, opportunity, spouse, house, ministry I’ve been wanting. When You bless me with it, what do You want me to do with it?”

The answer to the question and our willingness to comply in diligent obedience may just be not only the door to the blessing that we have in mind. But the key to the door to a much bigger blessing that God has in mind!

There is a blessing beyond the blessing!!!!!
