I hate when I’m hearing but not really LISTENING.
There’s a song, “Counting Stars” by One Republic, that I really like. It has a COOL grove and I love the beat!
One day, David and I were just singing along with the song. But, there’s a line of lyrics in there that we really didn’t realize what it was saying. (All I knew was that, I was grooving to the beat and LOVING it!)
So, this line comes up and we’re singing, “Everything that kills me makes me feel alive!”
Then my husband says, “OMG! We shouldn’t be singing this song!”
(Why not? Grouch-master!)
He’s like, “Did you hear what we were just saying? Everything that kills me makes me feel alive???”
He’s like, “I don’t want what’s gonna kill me to make me feel alive. I want love, joy, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost, and family time. I want that stuff to make me feel alive!”
I’m like, “HOLY COW!!! He’s right!”
There are a lot of harsh sounds being made, out there in the world, that can get deep down into our consciousness.
We say what we HEAR and then, we have what we SAY! So you have to be super careful.
Get away from negative people who can drag you down. Listen to positive, encouraging, uplifting messages and music.
You’re God’s baby. (You’re SO cute!) Think and say only NICE things about yourself!
Because, nobody believes what you say about you… MORE THAN YOU DO!
