In junior high… I was a giraffe!
Sure, I was always one of the FIRST ones picked for sports teams. (Everybody wants the tall girl on their side for basketball or volleyball.)
But, whenever we just went outside to play softball, I always ended up batting dead LAST! I felt like I was barely even on the team.
I really wasn’t picked… I was just the one who was LEFT OVER!
(Have you ever felt like that?)
We never think we’re good enough, or smart enough, or qualified enough for what we’re supposed to be doing.
Sometimes, we’re not even sure WHY we’re here. It’s not like we’re intentionally chosen. (Or ARE we?)
Sometimes, I get incredible opportunities to speak into the lives of others and I’m SO thankful to God. But, I still never feel like I’m TRULY qualified.
After all, WHO AM I to try and do these things? Maybe God did pick me… but now, what the heck am I supposed to do?
The problem is, we always focus on our abilities… but God is looking at our CALLING! He wants us to use our passion and our HEART!
In case you haven’t noticed… the world is in a BIG mess!
We were called for such a TIME as this! We all have unique gifts and God-given talents. God intentionally CHOSE US!
Look around! You may already be EXACTLY where God needs you to be!
If we can allow God to operate THROUGH us, we’ll become so much MORE than we could ever hope to be on our own!
