I DO NOT like being told what to do!!!
Seriously… who likes correction? Don’t raise your hand, right now, ‘cuz I know it ain’t true! I’ll ask your momma!!! LOL
Recently, Ashtyn left a temperate 80 degrees in Florida to fly to St. Louis where it was, umm… 1 degree! (Or something stupid COLD like that.)
She refused to wear a coat because she didn’t like the way it “looked” with her outfit. GIRL!!! (Thirty minutes in a broken down car and you could get frostbite… or worse!)
I… as her momma, corrected her. But, I was more than willing to fight that fight. WHY? For her own safety and good. I had to train her!
Here’s a funny thing. I know someone else who legitimately loves correction.
Guess who… GOD!
God wants the BEST for His kids. But to give us the best, He has to coach and train us. Even correct us.
He loves us right where we are, today. But, He loves us entirely too much to LEAVE us here.
I know God brought this to me, today, so that I could share it with YOU. I truly believe He wants you to get the message.
“Baby, let Me help you! It’s a COLD world out there!”
Don’t hold your hands over your ears and yell “la, la, la.”
Don’t RUN! God might be giving you some corrections.
You’re called to something much higher.
Listen and receive correction with an OPEN spirit. It’s for your own good. It’s for your future.
