It’s time to get NAKED! (Well… emotionally, anyway.)
Have you ever felt totally vulnerable? EXPOSED? Felt like everyone can see your flaws?
I was in a meeting, one day, and this person was all for the decision to be made. But later, in another meeting, this SAME person was now totally against it!
(What’s up with that?)
I was curious. So I asked why this person’s perspective had flip-flopped? (I didn’t get the answer I expected.)
That person looked at me and said, “What… you can’t keep up?”
Say WHAT? What do you mean I can’t keep up?
Honestly… I felt stupid. So, I pulled back a little and just got quiet.
Then, that person had the nerve to say, “Oh, you’re gonna stonewall me now?”
Man… I was ANGRY! That stuck with me all day.
Okay, okay… I admit it. I wasn’t so much angry. I was HURT.
Has that ever happened to you?
Sometimes, we just wanna call those people out and give them a piece of our mind.
But at the end of the day, they’re human, too. They have their own bad days and can sometimes take it out on us.
It’s time for us to remove the anger. It’s just our protection against being hurt.
But, HOW do we do that?
We have to get really vulnerable. Vulnerability is not a weakness. In fact, it takes pure courage.
But, you’re not in this by yourself.
God gives power to the weak. To the scared. To the hurt. But we have to let Him in.
Allow yourself to be vulnerable and let what God says about you be LOUDER than what they say about you.
Remember, NOTHING anyone can say will ever change the fact that God created you for good things!
