God got on my case when I started sharing with Him what I needed.
(That’s not a totally accurate picture.)
I was THINKING about all I needed, but not really praying all the way about it. And yet God still responded.
(Wow, that’s faithfulness!)
He said, “Nicole, do you doubt My supply of finances in heaven?”
“Um… no sir.” I whispered
“Do you doubt My generosity?”
“No. Absolutely not, Father.” I started to see His point.
“If I don’t have a supply issue and I don’t have a generosity issue… why are you doubting?”
It’s funny how the Lord can ask a couple of simple questions and CLARITY comes.
The promises of God are “YES” and “AMEN.” Not, “Oh man, I sure hope so.”
- If I had the money…
- If I had the time…
- If I had the connections…
- If I had the position…
- If I had a committed spouse…
- If I had a friend who understood me…
(I could go on all day.)
What’s your “if I had?” There are a million of them.
Come on. I know you have at least ONE of the ones above, PLUS your personal ones I didn’t think of. We all do. It’s called DOUBT.
Death by a thousand paper cuts to our dream. Not anything earth quaking and shaking. Just a million little hard things that make it SEEM impossible.
I get you.
It’s not about us. It’s about Him.
- We can’t. He CAN!
- We fail. He PICKS US UP!
- We believe. He PERFORMS!
- We serve. He BLESSES!
- We give. He MULTIPLIES!
