Our family was always a little different than everyone else in the campground.

Seriously! Camping out can be a really nice vacation. (Especially if you’re cheap like me.)

You get to sleep outside in a tent, set up a lawn chair under the stars, hear the campfire popping and crackling while you roast up some s’mores.

(Can’t you just feel the heat on your face and the marshmallow sticking between your fingers?)

I don’t mess around when it comes to camping. I set my family up GOOD!

Once it gets dark… most people were hot, sweaty, bored, and had to sleep on the HARD ground. (Miserable)

Not MY family!

I’d pack a portable AC unit (Uh huh, you read that right.) as well as, big comfy inflatable air mattresses… because you know your girl likes to sleep on something SOFT.)

For entertainment, I’d bring a color TV, VCR, and some current movies. (It was the ‘90’s, guys! You couldn’t get better entertainment than that!)

Okay, okay… so maybe weren’t experiencing the fullness of nature. But, even in the middle of nowhere… we liked to be COMFORTABLE!

Sometimes in life, we try to get a little TOO comfy, instead of enjoying the amazing experiences God has planned for us.

We tend to think that, “This is OKAY… it’s good enough. WHAT could be better?”

But God’s BEST is so much better than anything we could ever imagine!

The enemy does a great job of lying to us about staying right where we are. But, you know what? Camping is only meant to be TEMPORARY.

God never meant for us to stay where we are, forever. We’re called to conquer and occupy NEW lands.

Stop camping out in complacency. You’ve already come such a LONG way. Don’t settle now!

It’s time to embrace a new ADVENTURE!
