We serve The God of SECOND chances!

No matter what we do… or how crazy we act… and however much we DON’T deserve it… God just keeps giving us second chances.

Unfortunately, we humans are not typically “second chance people,” by nature. We’re not as quick to forgive, forget, and give grace to others.

Maybe, you’ve found yourself as the unlikely speed bump under a metaphorical bus that you didn’t see coming? (What’s worse is, when it’s a “friend” that pushes you out in front of it.)

Yikes!!! We just need to “Elsa” them. You know, “Let ‘em go… let ‘em GO!”

But sometimes, we react by freezing people out. Remember how that feels, getting the cold shoulder… especially when you felt like you didn’t deserve it? (BRRRR!)

Nobody needs that hurt.

And, how many times have we caught our own mouths, running out of control, in order to cover our own backsides? 

I’m sure, that’s probably never happened to you. (Time to fess up.)

Are you someone who’s blown it, MORE than once, like me? Are you crazy grateful for all the merciful second chances that God has given you?

Listen, I LOVE that God forgives us… over and over.

It’s Thanksgiving Week and I want to SHOUT that from the mountain tops, play Mav City, cry, and raise my hands for His unabashed goodness and GRACE!

Friends, are you with me?

Sure, preach that in church and we’ll nod and amen. But, put it into PRACTICE?

That would be HARD!
And, CHRISTIAN.
And, what God WANTS.
And, would probably yield BLESSINGS that I can’t even imagine, right now!

So, in order to REALLY enter His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with praise, we probably ought to unburden ourselves from all the salty sass we have on the tips of our tongues.

While we’re still working on our own hearts, let’s pretend we OWE God this one and just forgive them. Let’s let go of the offense and move into the good sense of “grace-giving” that He’s given us.

Are you ready to join me for an HONEST-to-goodness THANKS giving – one that let’s praises fly, unencumbered by stupidity? (Even if that stupid person will be in your living room, this week?) Lol

You’re human, too.
You have the guts to admit it. (C’mon… don’t be a turkey!)
You’re into giving God the real and free thanks and praise He deserves, this week, without a side of “bitter fruit.”
