What did you want to be when you grew up?
A doctor? Lawyer? Preacher? Maybe a storm chaser?
When we were younger, the sky was the limit.
Each day brought with it a new story of a future yet to be written.
Then we grew up, fell into a routine, and got bored.
Now What?
If you’ve been asking yourself, “now what?” – I want you to know that God’s grace is sufficient for you right now. You see, Jesus is applicable in every situation. A mid-life crisis is no exception.
He has paid the price for the mistakes you’ve made and even for those you’re getting ready to make.
There’s nowhere you can run and not find Jesus.
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” Psalm 139:7-8 (NIV)
Fork In The Road
If you’re at a fork in the road, let me tell you straight up – the grass isn’t greener. There are a lot of weeds over there. You just can’t see them.
Even though we know God will never count our sins against us, there is a consequence to every action. On the other side of that fence is destruction. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
If you say Pastor Nicole, “I’ve already jumped ship. There’s no hope for me. I’ve made a horrible mistake.”
Let me assure you God’s ability to clean things up is far greater than our ability to mess things up. Even though our sin reaches far, God’s grace reaches farther.
You’ll Never Be Satisfied If You Don’t Know Who You Are
Let me remind you who you are…
You have been adopted into God’s family and you are a child of God.
You have a special purpose and a calling, and even if you can’t see it right now – God will work all things (even your mistakes) together for your good.
No one can hinder God’s good and perfect plan – not even you. So get up, give thanks and be glad. Today is a new day!
You are the righteousness of God in Christ. It’s time to start believing it!
Thank you God for continuing to work all things out! Thank you for loving me and guiding me to be what you desire for me.
I am very lead by God’s wonderful blessings in my life. I at times like all of us, didn’t understand at that moment.
But then God does make it quite evident. Life is wonderful and I am now on the path I didnt see myself doing.
