We spent time in the SAME room??? (Are you kidding me?)

David and I were driving around Eureka, Missouri, (a small town near St. Louis) when he pointed out a house.

He said, “That’s the house I used to live in.”

“No Way!” I said.

“In high school, that was my friend’s house. I used to spend the night there. Her room was the last one, down the hall, on the right.”

He said, “That was MY office. I spent a lot of time there.”

Talk about MIND BLOWING!!!

It seems like there was NO reason why David and I couldn’t have met sooner. We both lived in a town small enough to have cows. (Meaning, you probably know
most of the people.) Lol

There was only one 7-Eleven where we both went for the same nachos and hot melted cheese. (A taste for only the most discriminating palates. I knew we were soul mates, lol).

He and his dad always ate at Boccardi’s Italian Family Restaurant. I worked there in high school and college. (I probably waited on their table!)

We probably should’ve gotten married to each other the first time around. But instead, we both went through painful divorces.

I remember asking God, “How did this NOT work out? Why did we have to go through all of that?”

You know what He told me? He said, “You weren’t ready, Nicole. I had work to do so that you could actually STAY together.”

God is working while we’re waiting. He’s preparing our blessing so we’ll be ready to live within it.

You might be thinking, “But, I’m ready NOW!”

I thought so, too, at the time. The problem is, we’re ready for the blessing WE have in mind… but not for what GOD has in mind. My dream was delayed so that I didn’t lose it.

His plan is so much BIGGER!

It may seem like all that hurt and all those mistakes were just a waste of time.

Let me tell you this. God can create something good, even out of your biggest messes. He is a God of MORE. Of BETTER!
If He can turn my story around and give me a life beyond what I could have ever dreamed or imagined… just think what He has planned for YOU!
His plan is WORTH the wait!
