Abuse. Bankruptcy. Divorce. My life was kind of CRAZY!

I remember, so clearly, EXACTLY where I was…

I keep telling myself that it’s gonna be okay… but my brain just doesn’t GET IT, yet!

When we’re single, we think we’ll be really happy when we get married. (Yeah… I can hear all you married girls laughing.)

Then we think we HAVE to have a baby. (Because we really need NOT to sleep for 18 years.)

Our family was always a little different than everyone else in the campground.

Seriously! Camping out can be a really nice vacation. (Especially if you’re cheap like me.)

You get to sleep outside in a tent, set up a lawn chair under the stars, hear the campfire popping and crackling while you roast up some s’mores.

“Don’t move me! Don’t move me… my NECK!” 

Recently, we were in Colorado for a conference and I just HAD to go skiing.

(Because, when you’re at a conference on the side of a snowy mountain, you have to rent some ski gear and give it a TRY. Right?)

As a kid, did you ever hear “Go out in the backyard and pick out a switch?” 

Well, I picked up EVERY single stick in the whole yard. That yard was the cleanest it had ever been.

Then, I carefully inched… my… way… over to… the fence and chucked those puppies right OVER!
