You were strong enough to get this far, so you are strong enough to keep going.
Sometimes you can get run down and start thinking that you do not have what it takes to make it happen. Whatever the “it” is in YOUR life at this time.
This is a negative mindset that can come from pushing so hard, for so long, that in the middle of your fatigue, the enemy makes his entrance and announces to you, “Your best days are behind you…!” Then if you’re like me, you look behind you and groan.
The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusted in him, and I am helped. Psalm 28:7
I love how David is saying, “My strength comes from God and I am helped!” Notice he puts it in the past tense!!!
Sometimes we just need to change the way we are choosing to view a situation and CHOOSE to see them as an opportunity to show the strength that God gives us.
EXAMPLES OF ALTERNATE PERSPECTIVES:
· Instead of saying I’m not that dumb, say I’m smarter than that!
· If you are a klutz, choose to view it as opportunities to practice gracefulness 🙂
When you SAY my strength has already been purchased by God and I AM helped, then it changes everything about your mood AND your momentum.
So change your perspective and how you choose to view your life and you will find that although nothing has tangibly changed, in essence, EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED and life is just better!
Words so powerful! Attitude so powerful. Thanks for teaching me to continue to look at the positive and let go of negative. Allowing negative into my life only holds me back and even affects those around me.
Nichole…THANK YOU again,,,,,those little knocks on the head keep me on the right track,,,,,dang that devil is strong,,but im stronger.
THANK YOU for sharing who you are,
Susan
I have not had time to read this until today, It’s seems like life has been a struggle for 21yrs after my daughter was born. I was blessed to find a good husband and we just want to make a living and get our first home together, it’s like the harder we try we get pushed back. I am always trying to help people when I do not have it.I try to treat people right and do the Christian thing &there’s always something.Last week another set back and I truly lost it, I know everything I have is because of God but I was so sick of being defeated I was like God I am done sorry I let you down but after 21 yrs I tired of losing I can’t do it.
Valorie, I completely understand where you are coming from. I’ve been there before, but one thing I know is God always comes through. It may seem like stuff is really dark right now, but it’s in our darkest moments that God’s light shines through. You’re going to make it. 🙂 Remember you don’t have to carry your burdens, when you have a God who’ll carry them for you. Praying for you!
You read my mail! I was discouraged this morning because I literally lost something in my house…I know it’s here somewhere! I wasn’t very nice to myself…called myself a few names. I heard the Holy Spirit say, You’re in strife. I said, With who? And He said, With YOU! Oh man! God told me to quit holding grudges against myself this year! I may not have it altogether sometimes, but He always does! Thank you for these encouraging words today!
