Doesn’t it seem like the people who laugh with NO fear are always the villains in the movie? (Or, a little yellow Minion that speaks….Minion?) 

Then WHY does the Bible say:

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”?

I’m not a villain, and I’m not necessarily brave enough to laugh like hero. But, could a nervous giggle count?

I mean, in times like when we have a whole day of must do errands planned on our day off and the kids want a “family day.” – nervous giggle.

Or, when we’ve decided to move (my husband says it like it’s NOTHING!) and I know all the work it will take – nervous giggle.

When we get ANOTHER project at work with a hard deadline and we’re already neck deep and barely staying above water – nervous giggle.

How about this? When God tells us to step out in bold faith moves (for me it was going on television)  with BIG financial commitments that are sink or swim. –  nervous giggle.

Laugh with NO fear of the future??? If the Bible says it, it’s possible. It’s a goal. It tells us how to train ourselves to respond.

I’m working on it… but I still get that little nervous giggle sometimes. Or maybe, a forced smile? Well, at least it’s a start… a movement forward. Even though there’s fear in my heart, there is faith there that is growing!

Yep! I’m GONNA do it! 

We know God is going to HAVE to have our back. So, why not just laugh in the process?

After all, He does.

            “He who sits in the heavens laughs;” Psalm 2:4 (ESV)

            “The wicked plot against the godly; they snarl at them in defiance. But the Lord just laughs, for he sees their day of judgment coming.” Psalm 37:12-13 (NLT)

God already sees the outcome, so we’ve gotta trust HIM.

And when we do, that nervous giggle (that nervous part is because we’re depending on us) becomes confident because we’re depending on GOD!
