There are many things in my life that have gone drastically wrong. At times, I thought I was never going to get over them.
As time passed, I began to realize that what didn’t kill me made me stronger!
I began to see that if I hadn’t gone through those particularly difficult times, I would not be the person I am today. I can also see that without those growth experiences, I wouldn’t be able to handle the weight of what God has called me to carry.
The other day I was reading in the book of Ruth about a young, widowed woman who found herself faced with abandoning her widowed mother-in-law or risking her life in a foreign land. She chose to remain with her mother-in-law, mentor, and friend.
Due to Ruth’s faithfulness during her time of grief, God set her apart in this new land. He gave her the husband of her dreams and made her very wealthy.
Ruth is a GREAT EXAMPLE of doing right and continuing to walk out the plan God has for you. When you do that, you will eventually walk into a blessed place that is beyond all your hopes and dreams.
REMEMBER: Someday you will say, “I’m glad I went through THAT so that I could get to THIS!”
