What do you do when you just don’t have the money???
When my father-in-law passed, we were left trying to keep a church of 180 people together and moving forward.
It was SCARY! (Overwhelming, actually.)
We didn’t know what we were doing or if we COULD do it. So much to learn… and a budget to carry.
Our church was on tv, but our entire video crew consisted of just one staff member that was doing three jobs, a fancy camcorder-like camera, and a VCR.
Primitive and OLD as the hills!
The church was starting to gain momentum and we desperately needed new equipment… because ours was held together with wire and duct tape.
(I’m laughing out loud, but not kidding!)
It wasn’t cool and it was bothering us that we weren’t representing The Kingdom very well.
My husband, David, prayed about it until the Lord told him; “Do the best you can with what you’ve got and I will give you MORE.”
WAIT – Read that last line from God again. God’s advice was GOOD advice.
You can let what you don’t have stop you. You can find a way to do your best with what you’ve got, right now, and watch God bless it!
Baby, if you don’t have the money for a new pair of jeans… go to Goodwill or a garage sale and buy a pair for a DOLLAR. I did.
If you’ve got no seed to sow… while you’re there, buy some little designer thing for three bucks and gift it to someone else. (Even if you want to keep it for yourself.)
Be grateful for what you do have. Put on the best you’ve got, show up the best you can, and ROCK that look!
I’m telling you… if you look your best, work your best, and do your best with what you’ve got… then God will give you MORE!
We started out on a rickety old tv station that nobody
watched. And now… we’re ministering to thousands of lost people, around the world!
God opened up doors of opportunity for equipment, time slots, and so much more than we could’ve ever imagined! (All from a couple of kids with a fancy camcorder.)
Remember, happy and successful people don’t always HAVE the best… they just DO the best with what they have!

When I was a young single mama, trying to make it on my own, I had to do some pretty wild things to make ends meet.
