We can do this… I mean, how hard can it be?

Years ago, we lived on a gravel road out in the country. We wanted a pool, but couldn’t afford to pay professionals to build one.

So, I ran the track hoe, David was on his Bobcat, and 10-year-old Austin was, of course, driving a dump truck. (Because that’s what you do when you live on a farm.) Lol

We dug the hole, poured the concrete, and added decking all around the pool.

We were SO excited… until!

We filled the pool and a couple days later… it was down by SIX inches!

Oh NO!!! The pool was LEAKING!

We’d try one fix… but it was still leaking. We’d try another fix… but no good.

We checked all the pool lines.

We even ripped up the yard and all the concrete decking.

It was driving us NUTS!

We finally sold the house and moved to a house that already had a pool. (built by people who build pools for a living… not by me and my 10-year-old dump truck driver.)

Okay… THIS pool stays full.

One day, our water turned green and we called somebody to help. We got to talking about how our old pool used to leak. And the guy said, “ALL pools leak.”

I was like, “No, no, no! You don’t understand. We used to lose six inches of water in just a few days!”

He said, “No lady, ALL pools leak.”

“This pool has an automatic filler, built in. As soon as the water gets to a certain level… it fills it back up.”

“The pool leaks… you just don’t SEE it.”

(Don’t you just hate an expert who obviously knows more than you?)

In our daily lives, we all have a “love tank” that leaks, too. We need an automatic filler that refills our tank when we leak a little.

If your “love tank” is full, then when someone tells you you’re ugly. You’re stupid. Your mom dresses you funny.

You can say, “You’re wrong about the first two…the third one is a little bit true.” Ha!

The problem is… we leak like CRAZY and we continually need to be refilled.

We need to come to church MORE.

Plug into God MORE.
