God’s opportunities don’t always look ANYTHING like we would imagine.
I was just reading about the Apostle Paul being thrown in prison. In no way, shape or form would I consider that a door of opportunity, and yet it could have been the most amazing thing that ever happened to him.
Paul had to be thinking, “This is the end for me! How will people hear me preach now? My career is over!” That’s what I would have been thinking. How about you?
And yet something incredible and miraculous happened in that space that we don’t really hear anybody talk about.
The Bigger Opportunity
Paul couldn’t preach a spoken word from prison, so he used the time to write letters. Written words. That became a part of the New Testament.
If Paul had walked about SPEAKING the words. He would have likely reached and effected hundreds or thousands. And that’s what Paul would have thought was ‘greatness’ at the time.
But by not having that option, by WRITING his words, he has reached millions or BILLIONS of people over the span of almost 2000 years. God knew where the true door of opportunity was.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. (Is 55:8)
Hidden Opportunity
One of Paul’s GREATEST platforms, one of the LARGEST platforms in history, was behind a prison door. What seemed to be a set back was truly one of God’s most phenomenal set ups for greatness.
What have you seen as a prison door in your life that God may have your biggest promotion behind?
I want to encourage you today. Don’t look at whatever has happened to you as a setback, look for how God might be using this as your HUNDREDS to BILLIONS promotion!!!
God has so much more for you than you can see today!
Prayer For Today
God, help me to trust Your plan for my life. Help me to see Your ways. Guide me in living out the destiny and the amazing plan that You desire for my life! In Jesus name, Amen.
Doors open and doors close but praising God for the open doors and the ones he has closed and trusting and having Faith in his plan. Sometimes opening doors and closing doors is difficult but if I don’t…I don’t know what God has behind the next door. : )
