Something you probably don’t want to know about me:

I have days when I don’t FEEL like smiling. Rather, I have “resting grouchy face.” 

You might be in a good mood – but my foot’s been flooring the gas pedal of life a little too long… and a grouchy face is the best I can do, at the moment.

UGH! I wanna beware of the dreaded BURNOUT. But, a lot of us are already there!

That resting grouchy face could be a sign that we’re on the ragged edge of God’s grace. He’s trying to let us know… “Hey, you DON’T got this by yourself. Hold up! You’re NOT gonna like it!”

You might have a good idea to change jobs, start your own business, break up with someone because there has to be somebody better, get a second job to make more money, or give up, all together, because it seems like the pressure is just TOO MUCH! But…

There’s a difference between a good idea and a GOD IDEA!

If God didn’t call us to it… if we build it in our own strength, then we’ll have to maintain it in our own strength.

And, if the enemy can keep us spinning our wheels, we’ll NEVER live out the real purpose that God has for us. We’ll just get worn out. And that makes the enemy happy.

You might be wondering, “Is it already TOO LATE?”

• I made a decision I already regret
• I’m tired and sleep hasn’t fixed it!
• I’m exhausted and coffee isn’t helping!
• I’m running as fast as I can… but still losing ground!
• I’m coming up short… because my patience is short and now it’s affecting my relationships!
   

Have you been burning the candle at both ends? Tune in to what the Holy Spirit is leading you to release, change, or give up completely.

It’s probably something you DON’T want to do – because our flesh and God’s wisdom always see things differently. But with God, it’s never for less… it’s ALWAYS for more! (Read that last line again!)

It’s never what God TOLD US to do that hurts us. 

We may have pushed the borders of His grace. But, with God’s direction – there is a way out, a way to breathe again, a way to finally lose that grouchy face, and maybe even… SMILE again!

Because God’s GRACE is sufficient for us!
