Your life is your responsibility and your palette on which to paint the grandest of dreams and goals. If you take on too much or have unbalanced priorities you might just end up with a canvas that is so cluttered that the overall purpose is unclear to any observer and the display of it adds no value to the world.
Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself.
Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life. Galatians 6:4-5 (Message)
Remember, if you try and chase more than one rabbit you will lose them both.
A highly motivated individual can overstress himself or herself considering all of the future possibilities that might come to fruition if they stick with God’s timing. Right now, it’s very important to focus all effort and energy on the primary target that God has identified for you in this season.
Just as the man who sharpens his saw every time he takes a break enabling him to cut down more trees than the man who works straight through, don’t spread yourself so thin that you become ineffective for your organization and your personal life overall.
