Have you ever caught yourself self-sabotaging? 

Back before we were pastors, I had a job in corporate sales. I found that when you really believe in your product, it’s easy to promote. Easy to sell.

If you’ve ever had to sell something you didn’t believe in, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s HARD. 

The same can be true if we don’t believe in ourselves. We think, “These people are busy and they probably don’t want to talk to me.”  

Our posture is going to be bad and our tone is going to be off.  We’ve already lost the sale, in our minds…  before we’ve even opened our mouths.

GOOD GRAVY!!! What is that? 

That’s a “limiting belief” coming to manifest. 

The good news is, having awareness is the beginning of transformation. We can find out what’s stopping us and reprogram our brains.

The problem is, most of us have been carrying limiting beliefs since we were children. A teacher or someone told us;

• “That’s the dumbest answer I’ve ever heard!” 
• “Go to the back. You’re not a good leader!” 
• “We don’t want you on the team. We want to win!” 
• “You’ll never amount to anything!”

Poisonous thoughts can become self-fulfilling. We have to get a hold of our brain, that playground that the enemy’s been playing in.

Here’s my suggestion. Strike your best Superman or Wonder Woman pose. Stand tall, head up, shoulders back, chest out, with your hands on your hips! 

(C’mon. Get up. Try it… I’ll wait.) That’s our “power stance!” 

Say, “I have purpose! I am called and the enemy CANNOT stop me!”

The science says that if you stand like that for just two minutes your testosterone (male or female) goes up by about 25 percent! That’s amazing! 

(Yes girls need testosterone, too!) 

No really! I’m not making this stuff up. I read the studies. I’m just a nerd. But, it may take a little longer to reprogram our brain.

When we start making better decisions… we’ll start seeing better results… we’ll start feeling better about ourselves… and we’ll start having more positive thoughts… that will help us make better decisions!

It’s a cycle. 

REFUSE to be left behind! We’re not going to have a spirit of fear any longer. We’re never going back to the way we were living before.

Step up in faith and show the boss that they picked the right person for the job!
