Sometimes, I feel like I suck as a mom!
Seriously, I feel like the “no” monster, even though they’re all grown up.
I set boundaries for them to help them grow… and UGH! It feels like a complete car wreck when they bump up against the guard rail.
I wonder if they feel that, too. Are they wounded? I was trying to help them… but did I just make them hate me?
- Am I falling short?
- Am I failing my kids?
- Will they be scarred for life because of MY mistakes?
At least, that’s the story I kept telling myself.
The enemy’s narrative was playing on “repeat” in my mind, reinforcing every fear and insecurity I had.
I felt completely overwhelmed! (And that was just yesterday. Lol)
Has that ever happened to you?
But then, something shifted.
I started to see hopeful glimpses of God’s grace in my life, in the way my kids smiled, and in the love we shared.
I realized that the story I was telling myself was just a BIG LIE, crafted by the enemy to keep me down.
The Bible says, “He restores my soul.”
The lies start to lose their power and we become catalysts for change. Not only in our own lives… but in the lives of others!
So, what lies are you telling yourself, today?
Sometimes, we wear our self-doubt like a brand new designer jacket… and we won’t take it off for ANYTHING!
Sluff off the lies of the enemy and put on the grace of God!
Your kids will make it… you did!
