Seriously… am I the only one?

Do you ever feel like… I don’t know… like you’re always desperately seeking approval from other people?
(Go with me on this because you might fit into this category.)

Okay, I’m gonna be honest…

When I shop for clothes, almost every store I go into, I usually don’t even make it all the way to the dressing room.

I have to whip out my phone and take a picture to send to my daughter. I’m like, “Hey, Ashtyn…uh, do you like this outfit?” Or…I don’t know. “How about this one?”

I just HAVE to know…

Does she like the style of this suit?
I mean… is this a good color for me?
Uh, hold on. I’ll send you a better view.

(But, it’s actually even worse than that.)

If Ashtyn doesn’t answer… then I have to start going through my contacts until I get the validation I need. And I won’t leave the dressing room until I hear from SOMEBODY.

Even when I’m at home, I sometimes send multiple photos before I can get dressed for church.

What is that anyway?

Well, the definition of confidence is a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities.

Frankly… I guess I just don’t appreciate or trust in my own judgement.

Is that you, too?
We’ve all got a little bit of confidence… somewhere down deep in there. But, we’re not always sure how to find it.

God created you to be a one-of-a-kind!

I don’t know about you… but I want to try and do BETTER while He’s still working on me.
