I need to ASK you something.
Right now, in the comfort of wherever you are, (on the couch, at the office, in your car) I’m going to ask you to DO something for me.
THINK of your favorite color. If there was somewhere to type it on the screen right now, you would.
What IS your favorite color?
What Does That Have To Do With ANYTHING?
WHY did you stop to think about that?
The answer is simple. Because I ASKED you to!
There’s POWER in the ASK!
I was reading this quote the other day. “The law of nature is, do the thing, and you shall have the power; but they who do not the thing have not the power.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Glad You Asked!
God WANTS us to ask. He said so, Himself.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Luke 9:11 (NKJV)
Why then, do we NOT BOTHER to ask the most powerful being in the universe when we need to make a decision?
The same way you started thinking about your favorite color, simply because I asked, God says He will do things for us if WE ask.
What Do We Need?
“I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24 (NKJV)
• What ADVICE could help us?
• What CHOICE is in front of us?
• What do we NEED changed?
• What WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE could change everything for us?
Let’s ASK the Father for it right now. After all…He asked us to!
Prayer For Today
Father, thank you for being there for us, guiding and leading us in the way that we should go. Right now, we ask for Your guidance, direction and help in our lives. In JESUS’ name!
I have often been afraid to ask as I felt others had so many more things they needed over me. However, God wants me to ask….He wants to give me the desires of my heart and nothing, nothing is too difficult for him. : )
I am blessed & thankful every time I read a post from you & Pastor David. I can still recall the first time I stumbled across Faith Church, Pastor David was on tv with exercise equipment talking about GOD. I was so shocked by this, not my normal Baptist upbringing, I could not pull myself away from the tv. Through the years I’ve not lived up to my potential because I’ve taken my eyes off the price, so to speak. But your words via email, tv or GOD nudging me to get the word in person has allowed me to fall by the wayside. And for that I’m grateful.
Thank you for sharing with us. At times I feel like giving up.
That is when I turn to prayers. Right now my go to is:
The song Whom shall I Fear…. Every time I hear it…I raise my arm towards the Lord. I was lost n didn’t know where to turn.
My financial situation was getting worse. I am single and lonely.
Last summer I discovered Faith Church. I’ve been attending every week and at the beginning twice a week. I’m a volunteer at both campuses. For some reason I still feel like my financial world is caving in on me. I do not know what I’m doing wrong. Every week it is said to give the first 10%. So this pay check 10% is going directly to my account for Faith Church. I had that voice saying I can’t afford to do this. That I can’t make all my bills now. I ignored it and did it anyway. I know you hear mucho stories, but if you could find the kindness in your heart and say prayer for me. I would greatly appreciate it. I thank God all the time for guiding me to Faith Church. Thank you for all you do 🙂
