A few weeks ago, I was hanging with some staff and dream team volunteers when the Lord brought this up in my heart.
I shared it with them, the way I’m sharing with you, now. At the end, a sweet lady came up to me crying.
She said, “I was ready to quit. I was prepared to give my notice at my job. This reminded me of the value that I bring, even if other people don’t see it, right now. And I’m going to operate in that — and bring it!’
What was this life-changing thing that I asked them to do?
I asked them to find another person (you don’t have to know them) and tell them 5 things that are GOOD about yourself — and why.
This can be really hard! I tried to follow my own advice. But, once I got past number 3 — my eyes teared up a little bit and I realized I didn’t love as many things about myself as God does.
That was a TOUGH realization that kind of snuck up on me and made me really pause in the moment.
I knew I had to come up with 5 things. After all — it was my stinkin’ idea!
It just shows how evil the enemy is as he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. He walks around as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
He wants to steal your dream. He desires to destroy your self-confidence. He hungers to devour your future.
But we remember who God gifted us to be!
Knowing who we are and LOVING the gifts that are on the inside of us — that’s the strength that the enemy desires to take away from us.
Not today, satan! Not Today!!!
