Whatever He Says—DO IT!
Before Jesus’ ministry began, nobody had known his capability like his Momma. Mary, Jesus and presumably the rest of the family were guests at a wedding when Mary found out that they were out of wine, a huge concern for the host during this day and time. Mary doesn’t hesitate; she gathers the servants around her, connects them with Jesus and says, “Whatever He tells you, do it.” (John 2:5)
What is God telling you to do, that you haven’t done yet?
Jesus goes to the servants and tells them to fill their jugs with water, take it to the Master of Ceremonies, and it will be wine. These aren’t “servants” that are paid like today, these servants were slaves to the Master; a mistake could mean their life.
What is God asking you to do that could cost you?
The servants start walking towards the Master of Ceremonies with their jugs of water. This is crunch time; will they continue to the Master and allow God to do the miracle?
They hand over the jugs, he dips his glass in, drinks and says, “Everybody I know begins a ceremony with their finest wines and after the guests have had their fill brings in the cheap stuff. But you’ve saved the best til now!”Are YOU ready to receive your miracle?
God wants us to able to receive our miracle and to be ready for the blessing when it comes. Today is a good day to take Mary’s advice to heart, “Whatever He tells you, do it!”
Has God put something in YOUR heart to do?
Whatsoever God asks me to do I will do it. Even when I do not understand for he is the author and finisher and I trust in him!
If god tells me to go work at the food bank and put food together I will because I believe god wants me to help other people. I love giving back to others who don’t have anything. Whenever god puts something in my heart I’m always going to do it even if I don’t want to.
