DON'T MISS A THING!

I was blinded recently. I’ve noticed that I can become increasingly critical towards some people whom I don’t think have it together. Then I go on a fast and pray and find out from God that I have been smitten with temporary blindness.

God led me to his word where he gives the analogy of a beam in my own eye while there is only a splinter in my brothers. I had completely blinded by pride!

“Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?” Matthew 7:3

It’s pride that blinds us. It is pride that positions us to be judge and jury when the word of God says do not judge.

After reading those two passages my blindness went away and I can see clearly now!

What was going on in someone else’s life had nothing to do with me and to be honest it wasn’t my business either. It’s between them and God.

You see WE CANNOT SEE the thoughts and intents of people’s HEARTS. We can only see the outward condition and that’s why God said, “Don’t be the judge because we cannot see what he can see.”

“…Don’t judge by his appearance or height… The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.“ 1 Samuel 16:7

The next time you find yourself judging (and we all do it), try to view that person or situation through God’s eyes, because there’s usually more to it than you can see.
