So many times when we go to step out or head for that dream that’s in our heart, we look around and see all the reasons it won’t work.

How we aren’t good enough.
How bad the economy is.
How key pieces are missing.
How we just aren’t ready yet.

When we go to move forward, the enemy likes to magnify all the reasons we shouldn’t. He likes us to stay still. Be quiet. And be content with whatever small portion we have now.

My portion isn’t small (you might quip defensively). But you can’t see all that God has for you that you haven’t seen yet (as I encourage to not quit no matter how far you have come).

Think of it this way. David (in the Bible) had a life that was just fine. NO hassles. NO big problems. Then he sees opportunity. Almost like God put it in his path. (hint, hint)

The winner of a battle with Goliath (the giant in the way of his dream – what’s the deal with this side conversation you and I are having in the middle of the blog today? Lol).

Anyway, the winner of the battle with Goliath got a huge financial reward, to marry the king’s daughter, and no taxes for life for his whole family!

The problem?

The opportunity required him to fight the biggest battle he had ever fought. An unfair fight if you will. Goliath was 6’9’, was covered from head to toe in over 125 pounds of brass protection (where do you even hit the guy?) and had a spear so big that the ‘arrow’ part that he wanted to shove into his opponent weighed 15 pounds!!!

If David had looked how the deck was stacked against him, he would have never won. Never began his journey up. Never have won all those rewards. Probably never become king.

David didn’t even know what he could lose by not stepping out because he hadn’t seen the end of the story yet. You don’t know either.

You haven’t even dreamed of all the blessings God has out in front of you!!! It’s bigger than you can ask think or imagine!!!

BUT…don’t let you but get in the way.

BUT, if David hadn’t been willing to step out when the odds seemed too high. He wouldn’t have won.

Don’t wait for all the conditions to look right. (Ecclesiastes 11:4) because they probably never will.

Don’t look at the giant, look at God! And go get ‘em!!!!!
