If you’re like me, coming up with your weaknesses is a lot easier than coming up with your strengths.

I don’t know why most of us struggle more with being confident about our strengths than we are conscious of what we lack.

It might be because we think what we lack is what holds us back.

The surprising thing is that God likes to use the people that nobody thought could be used.

You might be doubting me right now, but I’m serious.

What Is Your Biggest Hold Back?

Are you scared you aren’t talented enough? Have an addiction? Have a character flaw? Made a BIG mistake?

Then you line up with those that line the halls of Bible history.

Rahab was a prostitute marries Salmon and becomes the great grandmother of King David.
Noah was a drunk.
Jacob was a liar.
Moses was a murderer and couldn’t even talk good.
Gideon was a fraidy cat.
King David slept with another man’s wife and had the man killed.
Mary was a pregnant, unwed mother.
Paul killed Christians at a serial murderer rate and bragged about it!

What was your problem again?

We think problems keep us from being able to be used by God or from being promotable. I’ve got news for you, if you don’t have problems, you don’t have potential.

We all secretly fight feelings of inadequacy, insufficiency and incompetence. We wonder whether we really measure up. We fear we are not ‘enough’ – whatever that means to us.

That is where we have to let go of our natural feelings and trust God.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; (1 Corin 1:27 KJV)

If we were perfect without Him, we wouldn’t need Him. It’s knowing that we are imperfect in and of ourselves, but complete in Him that prepares us for the amazing future He has for us. (Jer 29:11)

DARE to BELIEVE that He has created you for a purpose and you are here intentionally and charged with so much potential that once you tap into His purpose for you – everything WILL change.
