I LOVE kids! I love how they get so excited when something good happens that they shake on the inside AND the outside.
Just a silly voice or tickle fingers and – all of a sudden – giggles, shrieks, and smiles that can light up a room!
To a “little” (that’s what I call the cuties that come up to my knees) something GOOD can be as simple as petting a puppy (or kangaroo), running through a sprinkler fully clothed, or licking an ice cream cone.
“Growns” love ice cream, too. But we’re a little harder to impress. It doesn’t take much to DAZZLE a kiddo!
So, what happened to us? What changed between childhood and adult life that makes US so much harder to DELIGHT?
Are we so worried about bills, the boss, why the kids aren’t happy, why WE aren’t happy, that we’ve totally lost our ability to be amazed?
Has that ice cream lost its taste? Do we think that WORRY actually makes our lives better?
God LOVES us in ways we can’t even fathom or imagine. He wants us to give all our cares to Him because He cares for us. God wants us to enjoy our lives, RIGHT NOW!
Be AMAZED by the sunset!
EXCITED by the ice cream!
ENCOURAGED by a baby’s smile!
THRILLED in knowing that God created you because He loves you so much, no matter what you’ve done!
IN AWE of His plans for you!
God wants to surprise and delight you with the DESIRES of your heart!
Be ASTONISHED by God! His future for you is DAZZLING!!!
