I remember years ago, David and I were staying at a hotel using points from our credit card. To our surprise, we were UPGRADED to a much nicer room on the “Club Level”.
It was AMAZING! (They even gave us little bottles of water in our room, for FREE!) We were kind of like a couple of hillbillies on our first day in the big city! (Lol) It didn’t take a lot to impress us.
We were in AWE! Every time we walked down our hallway, we would see people going in and out of this private room that you needed a special key to access.
When the door opened, we could hear the most beautiful music and we’d catch a brief glimpse of a fabulous buffet!
WOW!!! We weren’t sure how to get in there, but we wanted in! Wouldn’t it be incredible just to go in and look around for a minute?
On our last day there, we were rushing around like CRAZY getting ready to check out and catch our flight.
But, we were SO HUNGRY! We were debating about ordering lunch… but we just didn’t have enough time!
Apparently, the bellman overheard our conversation. He suggested, that we might want to stop by the Club Lounge and grab something from the FREE breakfast buffet.
Ummmmm, Club Lounge??? FREE buffet???
Then, he explained how our room key was programmed to open that door. Huh?
We didn’t understand what we were entitled to, even though we had the key in our hands, the whole time!
