Heading somewhere but they aren’t enjoying the journey.

There are many people that are heading somewhere but they aren’t enjoying the journey. They are allowing tragedies and problems to hold them back.

I see one person at a hospital just trying to be brave and forge through the day trying to walk again.

Then I meet a happily married individual who has lost their job yet they have their health. They can only say “I don’t know how I’m going to make it!”

They focus on what they don’t have instead of what they do have.

They forget that we are to “Shout With Joy To The Lord, All The Earth! Worship The Lord With Gladness. Come Before Him, Singing With Joy.” Psalm 100:1-2

Sometimes I think we’ve determined somehow that we need to finish every day on top with all the boxes checked!

Such as:
– I’ve got a job… Check!
– The kids are good… Check!
– I’ve got money in the bank… CHECK!!!

What we need to do is say, “Even if I can’t make the money, I can make a joyful noise. Even if I can’t make the payment on the house, I can make a joyful noise.”

We are to enjoy today, and not to allow the worry and trauma of yesterday to affect and eat away at today. I’d like to encourage you today to Stop wasting your precious life and breath on negativity. Use that energy to say, “And Again I Say rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)
