If you’re like me, you may work in an office or other occupation where you have to deal with a lot of people and cater to a multitude of different personalities.
Consciously, we should be reminding ourselves to remain open and flexible in order to get along and to ultimately get things done.
This is particularly true in stressful situations where our working conditions may not be ideal.
Seriously…Lighten Up!
“A cheerful heart is good medicine…” Proverbs 17:22 (NLT)
I truly believe a healthy genuine sense of humor can smooth over a multitude of hurt feelings, calm intense moods and even make the “bitter pill of confrontation” easier to swallow.
Pay It Forward
There are times in all relationships when we’ll have, what I call, “intense times of fellowship“.
Demonstrating that we have a great attitude and a willingness to be flexible when things are going smoothly, allows us to stockpile a little extra positive mojo to get us through the tough times when we may disagree.
Go With The Flow
“A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.” Proverbs 15:1 (NLT)
Sounds pretty simple, but respecting the actions and opinions of the people we’re doing life with is imperative.
After all, if we’re going to be together this many hours a week anyway, we might as well decide on purpose to just take pleasure in our circumstances and count it all joy!
Great words to live by! Smile! Paying it forward is so much fun! Going with the flow takes a little more grace for me at times but I am working on it. Thank you for your blogs…they stretch me to be a better me! xo xo
Pastor Nicole, I found out today that I have two blood clots in my leg. I will be on medication for it for a while. Please be in agreement with me that God has already healed me of this just as we did with the swelling in my retinas. I don’t know why the devil is working on me so hard lately. You would think he’d know by now where my power comes from. Wasting his time on me. I’m thankful for learning from you and Pastor Dave, for many other pastors, and for Joyce and David being my friends and mentors in the past.
