What do you do when you feel like you just can’t take one… more… step? (Can you relate?)
Many years ago before I was a pastor, I had a job working in technology sales. I was assigned to a branch that didn’t want any female salespeople in their office. Ugh!

They drive me crazy!
He’s an idiot.
I just can’t win no matter what I do.
I’m trying so hard, and nothing works!
I’m depressed.

What happens when we run out of gas? We go and go and go until…

-we have no ‘nice’ left inside of us and what we don’t like starts creeping out
-we lay in bed exhausted, but can’t sleep
-relationships that have always been strong get strained, and we wonder what is wrong with ‘them’

There is a car in our garage right now that doesn’t work. It’s broken. Stupid car, it’s not even old.

I remember the look on my school counselor’s face when I told her I was pregnant.
