How in the world does she keep from getting DIZZY?
Have you ever watched a ballerina doing spins? How does she keep from FALLING over?
The secret is that every time she goes around, she keeps her eyes FIXED on the same spot… spin after spin.
That’s how she knows how to locate where she is in space.
Likewise, because I get to do some CRAZY stuff for my tv show… I got the chance to drive a real stock car at Talladega. (Don’t be scared… no one else was on the track. lol)
I remember how they told me, “NEVER stare at the wall because the car will follow where your eyes lead.”
So, the ballerina stays STABLE and the car stays ON the track when we fix our eyes and focus on the right thing.
(Hmmm… sounds like there might be a lesson here, somewhere.) Be careful, little EYES, what you see!
If we keep looking at everything we don’t have, it’s harder to be thankful for what we DO have.
If you’re constantly fixated on you, you, you and YOUR problems… it’s probably all you’re ever gonna see. (Right up to the moment when you hit the wall! BAM!!!)
But, if we fix our eyes on JESUS, He is the author, the finisher, the perfector of our faith! (Hebrews 12:2)
So, if life has your head SPINNING, look away from your problems and focus all your attention on Jesus!
He can fix it! And He’ll never let you CRASH and burn!
