Have you ever caught yourself self-sabotaging? 

Back before we were pastors, I had a job in corporate sales. I found that when you really believe in your product, it’s easy to promote. Easy to sell.

I was totally WRECKED! 

I’d been left by a guy who developed a crazy drug problem, hocked everything we owned, maxed out our credit cards, and drained our bank accounts. 

When he walked out, I was bankrupt, foreclosed on, in despair, and my son and I were eating out of a food pantry. 

So when I remarried… I guess I was still a little nervous. 

What do you do when you just don’t have the money???

When my father-in-law passed, we were left trying to keep a church of 180 people together and moving forward. 

It was SCARY! (Overwhelming, actually.) 

Having the wrong people around you is like having Monopoly Money – they’re totally useless in the real world. 

But GOOD friends… well, they can save your bacon.

OMG! What happened? This is going to be HORRIBLE!

Maybe we’re not supposed to do this anymore. I was seriously freaking out!

The ticket sales for our Florida Woman’s Conference were NOT good. And, I’ll be honest… I was SO close to talking myself out of my calling. (And I didn’t even realize it!)
