We put fences up to keep things out and to keep things in. We put them up between us and our neighbors’ house to help us to get along. In an intimate relationship, fences or walls divide us instead of bringing us together. We get mad at each other and start using something to try to divide us so that we don’t have to have that eye-to-eye, back-and-forth dialogue that brings healing.

We’re On The Same Side, Only The Enemy Benefits From Our Fighting

We have to remember that The Enemy Goes About As A Roaring Lion Seeking To Whom He May Devour. (1 Peter 5:8) We allow the enemy to plant thoughts, and to influence our emotions. We tend to play that little violin thinking, “Oh, poor me, I’m the biggest martyr in the world because I’m a wife and a mother.”

Division Is Not An Inheritance We Want To Leave For Our Kids

Luke 8:11 says, “The Word Is A Seed.” The enemy comes immediately to steal the seed to try and make you think, “This doesn’t apply to me. It works on a stage for the Pastors, but it doesn’t work in real life.”

The enemy will come in any way that he can in order to try and wreck our relationships. If he can separate us and create division in our life, then he can create division in our children’s lives. That’s not the inheritance any of us want to leave for our children or our children’s children.

When We Are United, The Devil Can’t Get A Foothold

The bible says that two are better than one because they can help each other up when they fall, they can keep each other warm, and they can defend each other. Then it says, “Three Are Even Better, For A Triple-Braided Cord Is Not Easily Broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) When we remember that we are on the same side, and we include God, then the enemy doesn’t have a chance. Two people who help and defend each other stand united, not divided. Being united is what makes a union strong, so when the enemy comes in, there is no place for him.

God Can Bring All Relationships Back To Life

Are you wondering if the love could come back or if the romance could come back? Listen, it can! You just have to water it. It’s like a plant. They wither up and die when they aren’t watered, but if you start watering them again, start taking care of them again, you can slowly bring them back to life!

If any of you feels like the love is gone, you’ve been betrayed, or have been hurt. I pray that God’s miracle love and power totally saturates your heart today. God, make them brand new again and restore their relationships!
