This week was my birthday! Why do we celebrate big birthdays?

Because we made it! Through whatever obstacles and challenges have happened or tried to hold us back – we made it through.

Celebrate life today – you made it!

Today is #21 day AFTER brain surgery and God has been so good to me.

I believe without a doubt I am a walking talking miracle. I am who I am today because of the experiences I have gone thru and with God’s grace made it thru. I like who I am …. it took a while but I do. I feel God has me right where He wants me to be and with the gift of gab…. you know I am going to use this brain surgery as a testimony.

I wasn’t able to make it to the celebration for your birthday on Tuesday, I still can’t drive, but I did watch it streaming. One of the ladies, sorry not sure of her name but she said something and it has stuck with me. She said, isn’t this wonderful we have gathered together like this and is it NOT a funeral but A CELEBRATION of life. I no longer call it my birthday party….it is called my celebration of life and when she said that, well my ears perked up because I have used that very line before.

I love you Pastor Nicole.. you are such the inspiration to the young and old. :O)

Just keep on keeping on. With your and David’s leadership and guidance, it is going to change this city and the surrounding areas.

    Be Blessed

I felt exactly the same way when I turned 40! We must celebrate what we’ve accomplished through the power of God as we reach each milestone in life! Happy Birthday Pastor Nicole!

Birthdays, how I (used to say) don’t remind me. Oh was I ever wrong. Like you said, CELEBRATE! Another year has come and gone, and I have so much to be thankful for. Every wrinkle, gray hair, extra pound, etc. Why should society try to make me fill bad about getting older. Oh how we try to cover it up, hair dyes, lifts, and all those things that we try. Yes, we should take care of our bodies, so we can live a long and HAPPY life. I am not saying not to do what makes you feel better, because who wants to be around a grumpy person. With the laugh lines and those twinkling eyes, we can make a lot of other people want what we have. The inner beauty of the Saviour who gave it all to us. So next time you look in the mirror, just say to yourself (yes talk to yourself) YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Hi Pastor Nicole, what a wonderful way to look at birthday’s. Its easy with the kids birthdays, we celebrate the day God blessed us with them, But with us as parents, I think we truly forget why we celebrate at all anymore. So as of right this moment I am going to start celebrating how far we have made it. This makes it much easier to celebrate, especially if you had much to overcome, which we all have. I’m a little more excited for my birthday to come. lol Thank you Nicole!!
