You know each and every one of us has been stranded beside the road when somebody has lifted up the hood and said, “Your problem is that your battery lacks charge, so now you have no fire going into the engine.”
That’s EXACTLY what God was talking about when He said in Isaiah, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for He has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor, the recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those that are bruised” (Isaiah 61:1).
Jumpstart Your Life
Sometimes you might be next to the side of the road thinking it is over when God sends a mechanic – or a pastor, if you please – to come beside you and say, “I’m here to help jumpstart your life. We’re going to get some gas back in the engine. We’re going to get fire back in your life!”
Shift Is Coming
I believe God right now is about to shift things around and bring some new friends into your life. You have got to expect it, though. Don’t stay at home on the couch and think, “Woe is me! I don’t know what’s going to happen. Maybe I should just agree with Job’s wife to ‘curse God and die.” If that’s your state of mind, you will die there on the side of the road without any gas or power.
He’s Going To Finish
As you read this, I think God wants to refuel you and to jumpstart you. I think you need to know that what the Lord started, He’s going to finish. (Phil. 1:6) Expect it. Start planning on something good happening to you. Start thinking about how it is going to feel to have life in the fast lane once again.
The fact that you are seeking God today – that you are reading this – says to me that you are ready for the blessing. It says to me that you believe that God is the author and the finisher of your faith. (Heb. 12:2).
So timely! Thank you Pastor Nicole!! I wanted to come to the Accessorize Me event ….thinking to make some new friends & get some new goodies! Hear the Word, be filled, socialize, energize, but God needed me elsewhere…helping save lives @ work.
Being in a new city, new church, new everything is rough not including all the other “life” stuff….I thank you for the Scripture today. It so helped! You are a dear!
