Late at night, the TV commercial asks;

“Do you have headaches and trouble falling sleep? Are you exhausted, irritable, achy and constipated? This is SERIOUS! You need OUR prescription drugs!

We HEAR that word, we have FAITH in that word and we IDENTIFY with that word.

Now, we start to think, “OMG! I DO need that drug!!!”

A few minutes ago we were just FINE, but now we’re convinced that we could be DYING! What’s up with that?

What Are We Listening To?
If we just follow our FEELINGS all the time, it’s easy to be DECEIVED.

But if we stop and LISTEN to the Holy Spirit in us, we will usually hear something WISE like;

“This is TOO good to be true.”

“I think they may be LYING to me.”

“Go back to SLEEP and don’t worry about it.”

“Everything is going to be ALRIGHT!”

Faith Comes By Hearing
I don’t have to tell you, there’s a lot of NOISE in the world competing for our attention.

Let’s turn off the television and turn on some good WORSHIP music.

Let’s get our hands on more books and electronic media of sound Christian TEACHING.

Try spending more quiet time TALKING with God and reading HIS BOOK.

Guard Your Heart!
Remember, we can’t always share our DREAMS and GOALS with well-meaning friends and relatives.

This thing that God has called US to do, might sound a little WEIRD to them.

We CAN guard our hearts and make sure the ONLY advice we choose to HEAR is Godly advice.

Let every man be a liar and God’s Word be TRUE!

    Sometimes its hard but the one thing I know is listening to him is the best advise anyone has ever given to me and sometimes that means shutting out others and at times that can be painful. Trust in Him

    I’ve learned that by sacrificing, resisting personal temptations, and or desires especially at times when it’s convenient to indulge; and instead replacing them with the inspiration of Godly material, music, conversation and or more intimacy with God. The sharper our spiritual senses become. Our spiritual eyes and ears become more open. We then can hear and recognize His voice more clearly. Be confident in His guidance and a stranger we will not follow. Blessed is the man that doesn’t walk in the council of the ungodly. The holy spirit will lead and guide us in all truth. As we acknowledge him in all our ways He will direct my paths. Amen; Pastor Nicole…..Thanks again.

    Thank you for making me feel better about myself. My other half just told me I was worthless and a waste of space. When I watch your videos, it helps bring me back to reality. I am special and I do work hard. I need encouragement and you make me smile again.

      You are most definitely not a waste of space, Wendy! You being “worthless” is a lie–don’t believe it! God has a plan and a purpose for your life. 🙂 I’m praying for you! (Jeremiah 29:11)

    I can still remember how I felt when you said you could not eat lunch with the rest of the crowd! When you said that, I almost burst out! Anyway, I’ve always felt like damaged goods. Being burned for the last 40 years over 65% of my body been rough! Very rough! I had to eat with teachers because of the pressure garments and bandages I wore spoiled the kids appetite. Oh well! I’m still here!

    Wonderful Message! Inspired me very much! Damaged goods? Where?
