Do you have a skunk in your closet that I can borrow Friday night?

I am teaching on The Scent of a Woman at our Women’s Meeting.

I think a skunk would really illustrate the point!

You see, many things in life stink!

And I’m not just talking about my son’s room, my husband’s socks or the two week old food in my refrigerator!

There are many things in our lives that stink that may even be right under our noses.

What’s terrible is when we don’t even smell it anymore!

Under Your Nose

I have a friend that played a joke on his dad one time.

As his dad was sleeping, he put Limberger cheese on his mustache. His dad slept for a few more minutes, strted breathing a little weird, and then woke up.

He said, “It STINKS in here!” Then he got up and walked to the kitchen.

He said, “It STINKS in here too!” Then he proceeded to the front porch.

He yelled, “The whole world stinks!!!”

That’s the way it is with us sometimes. We think the whole world stinks and it is really just a little piece of something right under our nose!
