Do you ever feel like you give a lot but don’t get much in return? I think we all feel that way from time to time. There can come a time where if we aren’t plugged in to God, our power Source, we can use up all of our own resources. We get tired and begin to wonder when someone will either appreciate us or will return the favor.

I’m Tired Of Giving And Not Getting Anything In Return!

It is at this point that we might complain to God by saying, “God I’m so tired of giving to others, I’m TIRED of them always taking!”

After a dramatic pause, we might hear God say, “I can’t relate to that at all!” (And THAT would be his sarcastic voice.)

God would gently remind us that the things we complain about others doing to us are often the things we
have done to Him.

It’s Easy To Forget What God Has Done For Us

It is easy to get busy and to forget what God has done for us. Imagine how many things he has done for us that we don’t even realize He has done. Then think about how many times we haven’t thanked Him for the things He has done for us that we DO know about.

How many times has He forgiven us?

How many times has He patiently waited while we filled our lives with busyness only to acknowledge Him on Sunday? Even on Sunday we might struggle to give Him one hour at times, let alone one FOCUSED hour.

Let’s Give To Others What God Gives To Us

God gives us HUGE amounts of grace and mercy (both undeserved). How can we not extend to others what God has given to us in unlimited amounts? Let’s start this week out by seeking God (because He loves it when we do) and then freely giving to others what God has given to us.

God is good all the time, no matter what we see in our circumstances.

“God Causes Everything To Work Together For The Good Of Those Who Love God..” Romans 8:28
