OUCH!!! The other day, I got hit in the HEAD with a laptop! 

Yeah, my first reaction was to hit that JOKER back! Except… his wife was ALREADY giving him a super-hard time for leaving his backpack unzipped!

So, when he yanked it out of the overhead bin, his unsecured laptop was hurled in the direction of my innocent little head!

One mild concussion later….

This guy needed MERCY. (For sure, his wife wasn’t giving him any!)

So, despite the bump and the pain – I found myself comforting HIM!  (I just felt so bad about how sharp his wife was!)

I know how he must’ve felt. Sometimes, I feel like kickin’ myself, too!

As hard as I try to stay on the straight and narrow, it seems like I always find myself tired, a little moody, frustrated, and needing a NAP!

Can anybody relate? (Um, shout “YES!”)

I was reading about MERCY, the other day, and doggone it!… I need me some of that!

As I was reading… it HIT me! 

God’s mercies are new EVERY morning!

I mean, GOSH, I knew that… but wait, there’s MORE! (I feel like the Shamwow guy! lol)

Not only are His mercies new EVERY morning, they last FOR-EV-UH. Forever!

So, His mercies are new every day. (365 new ones every year!) And…they NEVER end!

It’s not like we have this SUPER-THIN, breakable layer of mercy just barely covering us. 

Heck to the no-no!!!

As long as we ask for forgiveness, there’s a brand new LAYER of mercy every day that lasts forever!

TODAY’S mercy that lasts forever… lands right on top of YESTERDAY’S mercy that lasts forever… on top of the DAY-BEFORE’S mercy that lasts forever! 

And on… and on… and ON!

Face it! We just can’t escape God’s generous, overwhelming, too-good-to-be-true mercy, even if we wanted to. 

(And why would we ever want that?)

His mercy for our failures runs so DEEP and THICK, it absorbs anything we may do – as long as we ask for forgiveness.

LOOKOUT!!! A big wave of tomorrow’s mercy is already rolling in, NOW!
