One year, my husband and I were driving an RV back to St. Louis from Florida. Right in the middle of the highway, David flipped on the cruise control, jumped up out of his seat and said, “Here…take over. I’m tired!”

“Aaaggghhh!” I started to panic!

Those were the days before GPS and cell phones. I wasn’t comfortable with the whole situation, but I did my best.

He went back to the bedroom and was sound asleep for almost 2 hours. When he, finally, got up to check on me, I was SO proud of myself!

I bragged, “We’re almost to Atlanta!”

Except, we weren’t supposed to be headed anywhere near Atlanta! Somehow, I had taken us WAY OUT of our way!

How many times a day do we just, instantly, react and make hundreds of split-second decisions, with our kids or at our jobs?

Most of the time, we don’t even bother to stop and check with God, because we think we already know what to do. We insist on doing things our OWN way. We’ve got this!

Ever live with someone who said, “It’s my way or the highway”? (Or is that person you?)

Well, God has a BETTER way, a HIGHER way!

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways…” Isaiah 55:9 (NKJV)

God promises us a BIG way, a PAVED way, a FAST way, a STRONG way, a way you don’t have to struggle through!

A way that’s free and clear, fast, smooth and connected!

God says, “Try it MY way! MY way is the HIGH way!”
