Me too. My family was really “burning the midnight oil”; starting 2 new church campuses in the same week…1200 MILES APART!!!

Part of me was wondering if we were just CRAZY. The other part of me just wanted to pull my hair out!

But still, another part of me was EXCITED, like a little kid the night before Christmas!

Running on Empty
On the day of the Florida church launch, we were a thousand miles from home, working 20 HOUR days.

We had to be READY to minister, to meet new church families and to COPE with whatever logistical struggles the first night would bring.

So you’d think we’d be FRANTIC, just running around trying to make sure everything was perfect.

After just 4 hours of sleep, maybe we should’ve been trying to catch a quick “cat nap”, or STUDYING more to make sure every word would be just right.

BUT We Needed REAL Strength!
So THIS is what we did.

We headed to the living room to WAIT upon the Lord. We PRAYED, we SANG and we even DANCED before the Lord!

Then we prayed some MORE…for about two hours straight!

When we were finished, we felt STRONGER! We were reenergized, invigorated, refreshed and ready for ANYTHING!

Just Wait a Minute
“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

When we feel like we’re completely EXHAUSTED and running out of GAS, God promises to refresh and REFUEL us if we’ll just spend a little TIME with Him! The very thing we THINK we don’t have time for is the EXACT thing we need.

Prayer for Today
“Father, help us to purposely make an appointment to be alone with You. We think we’re busy, but we really can’t afford to miss our precious “God Time”. Thank you for helping us to remember where our strength comes from.” Amen

Has spending time with God put new wind in your sails? Tell us your story and encourage someone to do the very same!

I will wait upon the lord and be refreshed in his strength. He knows what my chapter looks like and has the next chapter written. He will also close the book when its time and give me a new one. I will trust in him with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding but acknowledge him and trust in him. Thank you! Great blog Pastor Nicole.

Help me find the strength to make each day count and be strong and independent to make my own way. I want this to work but need strength to be more independent and find employment. I want to contribute more and be a good human being. Ease help me get past my past and give more in the future.

My husband and I talk about our smoadey weekend home all the time 🙂 We call it “The Farm”. It is going to be an old white farmhouse in the middle of nowhere with a spacious kitchen and a cozy room with a fireplace. And lots of land. And an in-ground pool for summer parties. A girl can dream, right?
