Starbucks. Drive thru. Double laned. Two windows. With someone taking payment with an ipad in the driveway. No wait.
Am I describing your dream?
The only thing better than Starbucks? Starbucks fast.
We want what we want. And we want it in a hurry.
The funny thing about God is that He isn’t moved by our timetable. His clock doesn’t move on our pace. And He could care less about our amped up sense of urgency.
We can only see what we can see. But God, He sees around the corner. What’s coming up. What would happen if we got what we THOUGHT we wanted right now.
Which a lot of times ends up with us ‘getting what we want” but not “wanting what we get”. Anyone who ever dated someone they thought was different than they turned out to be give my a loud AMEN! (I know I can’t hear you, so amen in the comments will suffice – lol).
We serve a God who is so big that He sees the end game, and is not next-play short sighted like us humans.
God would rather take little time now, than us fail in the long run. The problem with me and you is that we don’t like waiting. Waiting takes the “P” word. Patience.
But if a little time brings us to the right place. The PERFECT opportunity. The EXACT thing we have been praying for, isn’t it worth it.
Let’s buckle in friends. And trust God with His timing. His promises are a blessing and His mercy and grace are sure.
“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:4 NKJV
Amen.
Amen to ALL of that Pastor Nicole lol!
Thank you. There have been too many times in my life that I’ve become impatient and took matters back into my own hands and ended up in a mess.
Truly, life is much easier when we allow God to to do the driving. Now, trying to be patient, well lets just say that doesn’t come to easy.
Thank you for sharing and making time to guide us.
Amen.
AMEN!!!
Amen! So true! I thought I was suppose to have passed my LCSW before now! I took the test 5 times, but the last time I didn’t pass I told myself it was because God had not invented my job he wants me to have and I was fine not passing my test. She I am grateful that I only missed it by 7 points, which is closer than I ever got. I know that this time I will and have already passed that test on October 11,2016, because I have being given a business that was left to me when I pass my exam. That is only God, so I know it is His time and not my time to get my LCSW. It’s His time now!
AMEN! I am 46 years old this month and I believe God has this lesson for me! Thank you for sharing such truth!
Amen! So needed this word.
Amen! Working on the patience part.
Amen!
Amen!

I’m on the same page as Belinda.
