Perhaps?

There are many occasions when we KNOW that we have clear direction from God.

But it seems like, more than half the time, we DON’T. So we have to rely on:

• The BRAIN God gave us
• The WORD God left us
• And the SPIRIT God put in us

Then maybe, we can muster enough FAITH to step out on just a “perhaps”.

PERHAPS, God will help us!

Let’s Go!
In the Bible, Jonathan had this BOLD battle plan. He told his armor bearer

“Come on, let’s go over to where the Philistines have their outpost.” 1 Samuel 14:1 (NLT)

“Perhaps the Lord will help us.” 1 Samuel 14:6 (NLT)

Jonathan’s loyal sidekick told him, “I’m with YOU!” (We all need someone like that, who’s willing to go with us.)

But just TWO enthusiastic guys, against an army of SIX HUNDRED warriors ready to kill them? (PERHAPS, this is not such a great idea!)

Impossible Situations
If we could do it ourselves, then we wouldn’t give God any of the glory. I LOVE this next part!

“…for nothing can hinder the LORD. He can win a battle whether he has many warriors or only a few!” 1 Samuel 14:6 (NLT)

With just two guys or a whole army….God can get it done!

Suddenly, there was earthquake and loud noises that PANICKED all the enemy soldiers and made them scatter!

It’s A Faith Move
Sometimes it just boils down to RAW faith. We’ve got to believe that God CAN do what He said He WOULD do.

Jonathan went out to battle with only a “perhaps” that SO impressed God, that He just HANDED him the victory!

“PERHAPS” is that still small voice…an inward confidence.

It’s the peace that makes us CRAZY enough to say, “God, I’m stepping out on NOTHING. Perhaps, I can walk on water.”
